The River House opened in August 2014 after 2 years of planning, building up the location and road, as well as creating the aura of a wine place. It is a family owned and run business that is set 300 feet from the Mississippi,10 feet above the highest flood stage, and 5 miles east of I-55 on State Highway N. Take the Scott City exit and stay on N until you glimpse the rise and fall of the Mississippi.
