Back in 1997, shortly before Don Abner retired as a school superintendent, "I saw an ad on TV one day -- that's what kind of sparked it. I told my wife I'd like to try and make some beef jerky."
He soon found himself the proud owner of a small Ronco® dehydrator.
As a result, today he is the proud owner of Abner Snack Foods and creator of PaPa's Jerky -- a product that has gained a cult following in southeastern Missouri.
