Broadband: GoSEMO Fiber has reached a significant milestone by connecting its 9,000th subscriber! Ever since SEMO Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors gave the green light to the fiber subsidiary in March 2017, our relentless pursuit of enhancing lives through world-class broadband in southeast Missouri has been both swift and determined. Our presence has reshaped the market, and with GoSEMO Fiber, we offer unrivaled speed without the confines of contracts or data limits. It’s truly a world-class experience. Who will be number 10,000?

Electricity: This summer has seen its share of active weather from Mother Nature. Ensuring your preparedness is essential, and we recommend having a well-equipped storm kit on standby. Include essentials like flashlights, bottled water, non-perishable food, a battery-operated radio, extra batteries, fully charged portable cell phone chargers, hand sanitizer, and first-aid supplies. Additionally, it’s wise to formulate alternative plans for refrigerating or accessing medicines, as well as using power-dependent medical devices. Your proactive approach can make a significant difference in navigating such situations. We appreciate your understanding.

National Co-op Month: Because we’re a co-op, we operate a little differently than other utilities. SEMO Electric’s decisions are made locally, by directors who also live right here in our community. The money you pay the cooperative doesn’t line the pockets of shareholders five states away. We’re a co-op, and we exist to provide a service to you, our local members. We are proud to serve you. #keeppushingforward
