Advance High School students participate in Esports competitions. Esports is a form of sports competition using video games. There is teamwork, communication, strategy, confidence building, and sportsmanship learned through participating in organized esports. Advance High School had 3 students earn a scholarship from esports last year. Each year more colleges are offering esports scholarships. As with traditional sports, there’s no guarantee that an athlete will be able to become a professional but a well-organized esports program can help build interest in programming, design, software development, and IT careers.
