GoSEMO Fiber’s Optional Network Terminal

Fiber 101: What’s an ONT? The Optical Network Terminal (ONT) is the device known as the home gateway, which is installed in the home and connected via fiber from the outside of the home. The gateway includes four Ethernet ports and a dual-band Wi-Fi network. The ONT provides gigabit-speed broadband data, supporting high-definition television and voice service. It offers managed Wi-Fi, which is required for wireless set-top boxes for HDTV.
